Below are a few things to consider when searching for a photographer.


*Editing style- The big one! This can vary from light and airy to dark and warm tones.

*Location- driving more than 1 hour may not be doable for all families.

*Price- Another big one, there are many, many, many, variations of pricing for newborn photography. I always fall back on "You get what you pay for".

*Booking times- Many studio photographers may only shoot sessions during the day such as 9am to 3pm. If your family needs a photographer outside of normal business hours, this may be the first question you ask- can the photographer accommodate later afternoon sessions.

*Safety- Most established photographers will have training, mentorships, or online course certificates to show they are properly trained to handle newborns and proper posing for photography sessions.
